Godella Apartments is a residential interior designed by 19 Būro, located in a former factory building in the center of Valencia. The project translates principles of Japanese minimalism and wabi-sabi into a contemporary European context.

The kitchen combines stainless steel surfaces, marble elements, and poured concrete flooring. The restrained geometry emphasizes clarity and function, while carefully placed lighting and natural fabrics soften the space. The living area continues this approach, with textures taking priority over decoration, creating a balanced and understated atmosphere.
The concept relies on restraint and texture rather than decoration. Light becomes an architectural material: it cuts across ribbed plaster walls, reveals the depth of marble and stainless steel, and softens through linen curtains and velvet textiles. Dark charred wood and poured concrete floors ground the atmosphere, bringing a sense of permanence.

The bedroom is designed as a calm retreat with low proportions and a minimal color palette. Textured plaster walls and dark charred wood provide a grounding backdrop, while linen curtains filter natural light into a soft glow. Velvet bedding and sculptural wall art add tactile depth, creating a space that feels meditative and private.
The design avoids excessive décor, focusing instead on material expression and atmosphere. Textured plaster, marble, stainless steel, velvet, linen, and charred dark wood form the basis of the palette. Each element was selected for its tactile quality and visual depth, creating interiors that feel both minimal and rich.
The bathroom explores contrasts between stone and wood. Vertical wooden panels are paired with smooth marble and warm bronze lighting, creating an environment that feels both structured and intimate. The design highlights material honesty, where light interacts with surfaces to enhance their natural qualities.
Natural light plays a key role in shaping the spaces — highlighting surface reliefs, softening textiles, and enhancing contrasts between light and shadow. The result is a calm, timeless environment where proportion, texture, and light define the character of the apartment.
